The SeverSplav company has been engaged in recycling of non-ferrous
scrap metal and marketing of non-ferrous rolled metal since its incorporation
in 1996. The company’s key employees have been involved in metal marketing
since 1992.
Initially, our basic specialization was stripping of complicated non-ferrous
scrap metal, as well as lead-acid batteries and electric motors. Even
at that time our company was known for its specific customer-oriented
approach as compared to similar companies. We purchased a maximum
possible variety of scrap metal, visited sites to evaluate volumes,
carried out independent weighing and forwarding, and up to 90 % of
all shipments have been served by our own vehicles. Stripping and
dismantling of equipment at the customer’s site accounted for a considerable
part of recycling.
In 1997 and 1998 mostly ferrous scrap metal was recycled.We set up
affiliates in the Northwest region in Lodeynoye Pole, Podporozhye
and Olonets. Shipments of scrap metal went through the sea port in
Podporozhye.
Since 1998, the SeverSplav company has been engaged in sales of non-ferrous
rolled metal. Since the very beginning of work in this market segment
we have attempted to offer the lowest costs possible and most convenient
working conditions to our customers by introducing a cost-saving approach.
Our company has an excellently equipped mechanized production site
for scrap metal recycling, which includes outside under-crane spaces
and enclosed warehouses fitted with telphers. We have a full variety
of handling, press and weighing equipment, including vehicle weigh
stations. The SeverSplav company is one of few companies with a fleet
of unique machines for stripping copper and aluminum cables. In addition,
we have an enclosed mechanized warehouse with a total area of 500
square meters for rolled metal storage.
Only our company has arranged twenty-four-hour on-site work in four
shifts for scrap metal unloading in order to be customer-oriented.
Customer service and forwarding of all required reference information
are supported by a multi-channel, 10-trunk digital communication line
with one telephone number.
In the future we will continue to expend considerable effort on improving
the quality of our services for optimal interaction with our regular
customers and to attract new clients.
